What we promise,
and what we don’t.

Search it, star things, come back and check a price. You do not need an account for any of that, and there is nothing to pay.

What we ask in return is narrow: do not scrape it wholesale, do not hammer it with automated traffic, and do not try to break it. We rate limit by IP to keep the search up for everyone, and we will block traffic that is plainly abusive.

Prices here come from retailer feeds, refreshed on a daily cycle. That means the number you see is the number the retailer published at the last sync — usually current, occasionally not.

The retailer’s own page is always the authority. If a price here disagrees with theirs, theirs is the real one, and we cannot require anyone to honour a figure we displayed. Availability works the same way: a product can sell out between the feed and your click.

We would still like to know. If something is badly out of date, tell us and we will look at why the feed for that retailer is drifting.

We record a price point when a price moves, and keep the series so a discount can be checked against what the product actually cost before. What you see in a chart is what our system observed at the times it observed it.

It is not a complete record of the product’s life. A product we began tracking last month has a month of history and no more, and a price that changed twice between two daily syncs shows as one change. A flat line means we have seen no movement, not that none happened before we were watching.

We do not invent points to fill a chart. Where there is no data, the chart says so.

“Buy now” hands you to the retailer. From that moment you are their customer: their terms, their payment, their delivery, their returns and their warranty. Questions about an order go to them, because we have no visibility into it and no ability to change it.

We earn a commission on some of those sales, which is set out in full on our disclosure page. It does not change your price and it does not move anything up the rankings.

An account exists so your wishlist follows you between devices. Keep your sign-in to yourself; if you use Google to sign in, Google’s security is doing most of the work.

Ask us to close an account and we will delete it and its wishlist. We may close one ourselves if it is being used to attack the site, which has not happened yet and we would rather it stayed that way.

The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available and we cannot promise either absolutely — feeds break, retailers change things, and two people cannot watch everything at once.

So, plainly: we are not liable for a purchase you make at a retailer, for a price that was stale when you looked, or for a product that turned out differently than its listing suggested. Decide with the retailer’s page in front of you. Nothing here overrides rights you have under consumer law where you live.
